For this week's reading task we were asked to further our research strategy by looking at more articles and using the 3 pass method to skim through the articles and find out if the article is relevant to our topic.

My chapter for the book looks at nostalgia in storytelling but in order to better understand nostalgia i chose to look at the more psychological ide of things and take a few notes on how it affects different people, whether that be positive or negative.

One of the articles I chose to look at refers to the COVID-19 pandemic and how while in lockdown, people started becoming nostalgic about things they were able to do before lockdown and also because people were stuck inside, they were able to reminisce on their childhood, remembering the things they used to do with their parents, in short using nostalgia as a coping mechanism to get through tough times.

Now this article in particular does not correlate to my topic 1 to 1 but it does provide a greater understanding on how nostalgia affects people and with this information I will be able to write more comprehensively for the chapter.
